Job Description

 

The full-time Accounting Specialist, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, is responsible for providing accounting and financial support to the leadership team, sales and all departments for BAYCOM as well as working with the finance team at OwnersEdge when necessary. This position will perform a variety of activities including but not limited to, ERP system liaison, project setup and invoicing, account reconciliations as well as assisting with month end close items.

The following are specific activities that this position will contribute to the accounting and finance team:

  • Maintaining/ Invoicing large project billing
  • Process monthly contract billing
  • ERP maintenance, including customer/ project setup.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain and update supporting documentation
  • Monthly/ Quarterly Rebate tracking
  • Large client liaison related to billing/commissions/collections.
  • Assist with month-end closing process
  • Monthly sales and use tax reporting and filing
  • Compile expense reimbursements and post related journal entries
  • Assist in year-end financial audit
  • Filing and organization of accounting records, both electronic and hard copies
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and additional projects as assigned

 


Education/Skills/Experience:
Required:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years supporting Accounting/Finance function in a variety of disciplines or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications skills including Word & Excel
  • A demonstrated high attention to detail
  • Ability to Problem Solve and Multi-task
  • Displays ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company data
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, high-paced environment

 

Preferred

  • Attending undergraduate business school with an accounting or finance major.
