BAYCOM Inc, the Midwest’s leading provider of digital voice, video, and data technology solutions, is seeking a Wireless Data and Video Technician to join our team in Green Bay or Milwaukee, Wisconsin!
 

Job Summary:
The BAYCOM Wireless Data and Video Technician is primarily responsible for wireless PTPs, wireless LAN, and video surveillance products. The Technician will also provide low level support for computer hardware/software, Cassidian products, Arbitrator products, Independent Software Vendor products, automated license plate recognition products and helpdesk duties. The Technician will provide phone, onsite and remote desktop support.


Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Document networks and new processes using BAYCOM IS processes
  • Ability to work outside occasionally in inclement weather and/or at heights exceeding 40 feet
  • Detailed understanding of fundamental TCP/IP networking concepts (CompTIA Network+ ce recommended)
  • Perform diagnostics and maintenance when required on mission critical systems and services
  • Ability to problem solve when in the field to accomplish the mission successfully the first time
  • Individual need to be detail oriented and have great customer service skills
  • Monitor all critical systems and services and react accordingly to outages (on call work)
  • Design, install and maintain our Enterprise product line, with 24/7 support
  • Manage and troubleshoot wireless PTP and Multi-point links
  • Perform constant system analysis and improvement strategies to keep BAYCOM’s “cutting edge” philosophy
  • Ability to troubleshoot Arbitrator Software and hardware
  • Ability to troubleshoot PC and Server hardware and software issues (CompTIA A+ ce recommended)
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Requirements:
 
  • Independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • 1 – 3 years of networking experience
  • Abundant understanding of wireless technologies
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
  • Excellent researching skills required
  • Strong documentation skills and change management philosophy
  • Working a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as needed to support the business
  • Ability to work in a team and alone
