Description
BAYCOM, Inc., a privately-held business with headquarters in Green Bay and additional locations in Neenah and Milwaukee, is looking to add a Technical Services Manager to our leadership team.  BAYCOM is the Midwest’s leading provider of voice, video, and data products and services and is a Total Solutions Provider and Certified Service Center.  BAYCOM is the official provider of two-way radios for the Green Bay Packers.
 
The Technical Services Manager position reports directly to the CEO and works alongside other members of the leadership team.  Is responsible for the profitability and  management of the department, including service and installation, project management and the coordination team.  Driving the management and improvement of key financial metrics within the business is a high priority for this position.  This position provides leadership to multiple teams providing service, support and solutions to BAYCOM’s customers.
 
Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices and procedures is a must to plan and accomplish stated goals.  This position is responsible for leading and directing of others, a strong business background and ability to analyze results in order to achieve profitability is required. 
 
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide tactical and strategic direction to support the growth and future technological advances to the benefit of the company
  • Manage and improve the financial metrics of the business are high priorities in this position
  • Responsible for annual department budgeting and department profitability
  • Establish and execute service metrics and KPI’s for the department
  • Responsible for management and performance of the installation and service technicians to achieve quality and  profitable performance
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of process improvements within the departments to increase efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Responsible for the staffing, training, and development of technicians and department managers; including installation technicians, field technicians, project management and service coordination
  • Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes
 
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field or equivalent experience
  • Project Management certification or advanced degree a plus
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing the metrics of a business
  • Ability to define, drive and implement change
  • Track record of effectively leading a performance- and outcomes-based business unit and staff
  • Ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as needed to support the business
